“Of Bears and Bees”
Readings and Reflections from
Trina Moyles (Black Bear) and Jenna Butler (Revery: A Year of Bees)
Authors Trina Moyles and Jenna Butler will read from their recent works and dialogue together and with us on themes of sharing our homes and our journeys with other creatures, with eachother, and with the land.
Environmental journalist and author Trina Moyles explores the themes from her latest book Black Bear. Impassioned and eloquent, Black Bear is a story of grief and a vision of peaceful coexistence in a divided world. It captures the fragility of our relationships with human and nonhuman species alike, and the imperative to protect the wild—along with the people we hold closest. Trina has two previous books, Women Who Dig, and Lookout and has published numerous essays.
